Dr. Dan Osborn Named to Missouri Medical Regulatory Board

Missouri Eye Institute, the southwest region’s most progressive medical center for eye care including laser vision correction surgery, announces Dr. Daniel Osborn has been appointed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. A board-certified ophthalmologist practicing in Springfield, Branson and Joplin, Dr. Osborn is one of the most experienced cataract and refractive surgeons in the region.

Nearly 35,000 medical professionals across the state of Missouri are regulated by the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; this includes physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and speech-language pathologists. Dr. Osborn and the other Board members work to protect Missourians through the licensing of physicians and other health professionals and assessing their competence to practice. The Board also investigates complaints against licensees and monitors compliance to continuing education requirements.
